SA DAMP is an innovative thought leader in structural waterproofing, which forms the primary focus of our business. In-addition we focus on damp proofing, painting, external plaster renovations, sealing basements and storm drainage throughout South Africa. We support the growing infrastructure of South Africa through strategic partnerships with local and international suppliers. We are one of the best, waterproofer in Johannesburg.

There is a growing infrastructure demand in the development sector in South Africa, which can be can seen by the investment taking place in South Africa and Africa. Areas of investment include transport, logistics, power and energy, water and sanitation, telecommunications, health and education, accommodation and facilities, and beneficiation infrastructure.

We stand at the foreground of waterproofing, to ensure that buildings that are built today are standing for the generations of tomorrow.

SA DAMP products and services include waterproofing which forms part of our core business and primary focus. In-addition we focus on damp proofing, painting, external plaster renovations, sealing basements and storm drainage. SA DAMP continues to invest in R & D to ensure that we are at the forefront of an ever-moving target.

The micro cement latex from our waterproo?ng has evolved into a core component of our plaster, keying agents and primers. This ensures that everything is as compatible as possible and we do not waste time and money on future repairs. We always aim for fusion rather than lamination.

Paints and undercoats are manufactured to ISO 9002 speci?cation and surpass SABS grade 1 standard for quality as applicable.

Additional products include Bond M, STT and Derby Gum torch-on waterproo?ng, Bench Mark World quality products such as our DB series 9000 sealants imported from Germany and Dryzone chemical damp course (DPC) imported from England.

We are also registered applicators of XYPEX for the Gauteng, Mpumalanga areas. XYPEX is the world’s strongest concrete waterproo?ng and which is used in over 70 countries.

Profile on Management

Our Chief Technical Director

Martin Ward has been in the waterproofing and damp proofing industry for 20 years. Martin started SA DAMP and continues, as it’s Chief Technical Director and Head of Research and Development. Martin is passionate about environmental issues and sustainability, a culture, which he has instilled within the company and is a critical aspect of its ethos. SA DAMP continues to develop new techniques and invests in new technology to try and ease the burden placed on the environment.


Ariel Pheiffer comes from a technology and advertising background, having worked in the technology and advertising sector for the past 15 years. He is a co-owner of an advertising company that specialises in online marketing and web development. He has experience running his own businesses having run and sold his first business at the age of 32. Ariel studied science and technology at UNISA and recently did his MBA at the GIBS Business School in Johannesburg. He is currently specialising in mergers and acquisitions at the Edinburgh Business School in Scotland. He has worked for Naspers, the biggest media owner in South Africa for the past 3-year as the head of marketing and business strategy for the Media24 division.
